Along with the roof and external walls of a property the windows play an important part of keeping you and your family warm, secure and comfortable throughout the seasons.
With modern double glazed units the glass used is specially coated and the cavity filled with Argon, Krypton or Xenon gas. These units combined with effective draught stripping make the windows up to 4 x more energy efficient saving money and wasted resources. The indoor temperature will remain more constant as heat loss is reduced saving money on utility bills.
Over hauling and draught proofing of existing windows offers great value for money. In the winter the windows will be draught sealed keeping your home warmer and in the summer the windows will be easily operational allowing for ventilation. Windows will not rattle and we install new fittings including key operated restrictor locks.
As London’s roads and air space have become busier the requirement for noise reduction has increased, double glazed timber windows will make a huge improvement over original single glazed windows and are often enough to solve the noise issue but for more extreme cases we can offer acoustic noise reduction glass. Acoustic glass is a laminated glass designed to muffle noise and as an added bonus acts as a very effective security glass. Acoustic glass is often used as the outer pane of a double glazed unit or in single glazed form.
Condensation can be a real problem in many homes, double glazing greatly reduces condensation and we can install discreet trickle vents to the head of replacement windows if required. Draught stripping existing single glazed windows can make existing condensation issues worse due to the fact we are taking away the natural ventilation the gaps etc provide. We can expertly advise you on this.
As well as a range of security locks we can fit laminated security glass which would give any intruder a hard time entering through the windows or doors. For French doors we offer high security multi point locking as well as traditional 5 lever sash locks and bolts and for front doors we fit yale insurance approved products or Banham high security products. On our sash windows we fit key operated restrictor bolts which allow for ventilation whilst keeping the windows secure.Contact us today >
